Created in partnership with Liz Ellaby of the Birmingham History Center and John Morse of bhamwiki.com, "Can You Repeat That?" was the Magic City's own version of NPR's popular game show, "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me". Instead of three panelists, we gathered twelve local luminaries: John Archibald, Kyle Whitmire, Glenny Brock, Frank Stitt, meteorologist James Spann, the Hon. Richard Arrington, professors Randy Law and Pam King, Chris Davis, Councilman Jay Roberson, writer, broadcaster Courtney Haden, & Laura Kate Whitney. Mayor William Bell even joined in the fun as a special "audience" participant. Many hours of research went into developing the content of the show, and the results were remarkably humorous and educational. Proceeds benefited the Birmingham History Center.
